Data collected
When you request a quote or write to us: name, email, phone, postcode and municipality of the site, project description, any photos and drawings you choose to send, and your contact preference.
Purposes and legal basis
This data is used solely to review your enquiry, get back to you and prepare a quote. For a quote request, processing is based on pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); for a simple message, on our legitimate interest in replying to you (Article 6(1)(f)).
Retention period
Enquiries that are not followed up are deleted no later than 24 months after the last contact. Data relating to a contract is kept for the applicable statutory period.
Recipients
Your data is neither sold nor transferred. It is hosted by our technical processors (Vercel for the site, Supabase for storage, an email service for notifications), bound by a data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR). As some of these providers are based in the United States, data may be transferred there; these transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for in the GDPR (EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).
Your rights
You can request access to, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@vanackermetaal.be. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
